Update

This year’s Opening Day at St. John’s School was more exciting than usual. On August 19, students and faculty were treated to breakfast in Flores Hall, the spacious 10,000-square-foot dining room – the centerpiece of the newly constructed Campus Center building. Completed in August, this much-needed addition to St. John’s replaces Winston Hall and Arnold Student Center, which served the community for nearly 50 years. It is located behind the existing North Campus, on the corner of Westheimer and Claremont Lane. This space was specifically planned to provide gathering spaces for the growing school community. 

To mark the occasion, “70 years of Hallowed Halls,” an art exhibition detailing the architectural history of St. John’s, will be on display in Glassell Art Gallery through October. It will rotate with student art and alumni art throughout the months.

The architects on the Campus Center Project were Curtis & Windham and the construction was done by WS Bellows.
